ATTENDANCE AND ABSENCES

We have recently performed an attendance analysis of all pupils within the school (this is a statutory requirement). Following analysis of this, I feel this is a good opportunity to review and inform you of our attendance and absence procedures.
Attached below is our new school attendance leaflet which clearly states the procedures that must be followed – both by yourselves and school - if your child is absence.
The leaflet also states some clear facts from the Department of Education regarding the impact attendance has upon children’s education.
KEY INFORMATION FOR CHILDREN IN NURSERY AND RECEPTION:
By law, children must get an education from the school term after their 5th birthday.
