It has been lovely to welcome back all of our returning families, and also give a very warm welcome to our new teachers, Miss Wignall and Mrs Elder, and those children who have joined our school community this term.

Our first week back has been so positive! The school building is looking fresh following decorating work over the summer break. Finished in our school colours, these updated spaces have created a bright, welcoming environment that our children can take true pride in and value. We hope to continue making these environment improvements across other areas of the school whenever future opportunities allow.

The children have settled in brilliantly and are already working hard, setting a fantastic standard for the academic year ahead. After-school clubs will officially begin next week, so please check for the letter sent home today.

Our focus Christian value for this term is RESPECT, which is being actively promoted across every aspect of school life. We are encouraging the children to demonstrate respect by caring for our newly decorated spaces, listening attentively to others, and showing kindness both in the classroom and on the playground.

Finally, pupil safety outside the school gates remains our absolute priority, and recent concerns have been raised regarding traffic speed and junction parking. We ask all parents and carers to drive safely, keep village driveways clear, and park considerately during drop-off and pick-up times. On our end, staff will use the designated school car park whenever space and logistics allow so that we optimise our available area.
