Our Weekly Update from Mrs Bowe...
24 November 2025
What a lovely week we had! It felt comfortingly calm and 'normal' across the school, which has been fantastic for both the staff and the children. The beautiful, frosty mornings, coupled with the sight of the snow-covered mountains around us, has definitely lifted everyone's spirits!
Well done to the children in Class 2 who enjoyed taking part in the Boccia, Table-Top Cricket, and Curling festival at Netherhall School this week. This was a fantastic new experience and they represented our school brilliantly!
Looking ahead to this week, some children in Class 1 will also be participating in a Dodgeball Tournament at Netherhall School. Good luck to our team!
Our Year 6 children have really enjoyed working with Marion today. They have been busy learning the intricate skills and techniques needed for watercolour painting, producing some excellent artwork.
It's going to be a very busy week next week!
• Classes 1 and 2 will be visiting Nelson Thomlinson School for the Small Schools' STEAM Event (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Maths). These promise to be engaging sessions of hands-on learning and exploration.
• All children across the school will also be taking part in our rescheduled 'Water Workshop' next Friday.
Our much-anticipated Scholastic Book Fair books arrived today! You'll be able to browse over 200 of the books children really want to read—from award-winners and new releases to beloved favourites and bestsellers, all at amazing prices. For every book bought, you help us earn free books for our school library. Please feel free to pop into school when you drop off your children or when you are picking them up next week. The children will also have the opportunity to browse the fair throughout the week with their classes.
Please note that tickets for our school Christmas performances will go on sale today, costing £3 per ticket.
