I cannot believe that we are now two thirds of the way through the school year! The Summer term is a firm favourite – (hopefully) lots of bright, sunny days, school trips, fun activities and preparations for the next steps.

This term has been full of fun learning, new friendships, and lots of smiles! We've seen so much growth and kindness in our classrooms and playground. I'm so proud of each and every one of the children!

Easter is a time for celebrating new beginnings, like the little chicks hatching and the flowers blooming. It's also a time

for spending precious moments with family and friends, eating yummy treats, and maybe even going on an egg hunt!

Children - remember to enjoy your holiday, play outside, read lots of books, and have lots of fun! 

We can't wait to see you all back after the break, ready for more exciting adventures.

It was lovely to welcome you all in to school today to share in our Easter celebrations. 

I’m sure you will agree that the children were fantastic and their enthusiasm in sharing their Easter learning with us all was contagious! 

I would like to say a sincere thank you to The Venerable Stewart Fyfe, Archdeacon of West Cumberland, for also taking time out of his 

extremely busy schedule to join us in our celebrations.

Next half term is again a busy one -we will be celebrating the 80th Anniversary of VE Day with our local community, joining them at the Community Centre 

when the VE 80 flag is raised and listening to the Town Crier’s Proclamation. The children will be making some posters which will then be used as placemats 

for the fish and chip supper in the evening. They also see their place mats set out in the morning when they are enjoying juice and biscuits with the community. 

Following on from this, we will be having a World War II day in school – details will be sent to you after the holidays.

Our Year 6 children will be taking their SATs during the week beginning Monday 12th May. Details will be sent directly to parents of our year 6 children.
